CAPTAIN LEE ARTHUR BREWER

1932-2017

Lee Arthur Brewer entered eternal rest peacefully on August 24, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great-grand father and friend to all.

He loved life and never met a stranger.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his county well, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was commission­ed Captain on the front lines of Vietnam. He was most proud of his achievemen­t as Air Borne Ranger. Upon retirement from the Army, he completed his education at Texas Southern University receiving his Bachelor and Master Degrees. He taught in the Houston Independen­t School District for ten years, worked for the Houston Federation of Teachers and the Texas Federation of Teacher as a State Representa­tive. He loved keeping his yard beautiful.

Lee was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of forty plus years, Betty Tuffley Brewer, two daughters Elizabeth E. Brewer and Adrion Brewer (Atlanta, Ga.), two sons, Lee A. Brewer, Jr., Sidney Brewer (Brenda), Sister, Mrs. Connie Green, Brother, Lonzo Brewer.

The Funeral Arrangemen­ts are scheduled for Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00a.m. , New Spirit of Light Missionary Baptist Church, 7300 Nordling Road., Houston, Texas 77076. Viewing 9:00 - 11:00a.m.

Interment Veterans Administra­tion Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
