Josephine F. Galan, 87 of Houston, Texas was called home to be with our Lord September 4, 2017. She passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baytown Texas to Juan Jose & Anita Flores August 13,1930. Proceeded in death by her parents, and grandson Zachariah J. Gonzalez, one sister and four brothers and her son John Galan along with her loving husband Luis A. Galan Sr. of 53 years of marriage.

Josephine is survived by two sons and three daughters: Luis Galan Jr., Steve F. Galan, Patricia A. Zdunkawicz (Jim), Laura M. Galan Gonzalez (Benedict), Mary Jane Galan Soto and seven grandchild­ren: Benedict J. Gonzalez (Abigail) Marina E. Gonzalez Pennock (Ryan) Seth J. Gonzalez, Adrian Soto, Priscilla Soto, Bridget E. Zdunkawicz, Jared A. Zdunkawicz. Great Grand Children: Riley R., Alexander Z., Violet S., and Roman A. Pennock. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Josephine was a strong woman of faith a pillar of strength for her family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-8 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Vazquez Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:30 am at St Jerome Catholic Church, 8825 Kempwood Dr., Houston, Texas 77080. Interment will follow in in Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas 77023.
