Rosemary Catherine Levens passed away this past Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017. Born in Kansas, she moved to Houston when she was 5. She was the youngest of 3 girls. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1971 with a teaching degree. She taught at Dulles High School in 1972 1978. She taught Commercial Food Production in the Home Economics Department. In 1974 her husband, Lyn Levens started their company Fort Bend Services. She went to work with him full time in 1978. They worked side by side until his death in 2015.

Her love was cooking, Arabian Horses and raising cattle and chickens. Rosemary loved participat­ing in and watching horse shows. She loved animals and was always rescuing any strays she found, no matter the size. She and her husband were big supporters of the Fort Bend County Fair and the Great Houston Chapter of the Model “A” Restorers Club. After her husband’s death in 2015, she continued to lead the company as CEO until her death.

She was a loving mother to her two children and a wonderful and doting grandmothe­r to her three granddaugh­ters.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents Anna Catherine Smith and Robert Claire Smith, sister Muriel Joan Parmelee, and her Husband Lyn Levens. She is survived by her daughter Lanasa Moyer, her son Layne Levens (Rosela Levens), and her granddaugh­ters Melanie Moyer, Heather Calk, and Lauren Levens. She will be forever loved and remembered.
