His 96-yard pick-six against Lamar last week is the longest scoring play in school history. … Senior LBs Garrett Dolan and Cody Moncure have 131 and 80 tackles, respective­ly. Sam Houston State update: A victory would mark the fourth straight season of 10 or more wins and sixth in the last seven years for the fourth-ranked Bearkats, who are riding a 17-game home winning streak. … The senior class enters Saturday with 43 wins over the last four years, the most of any senior class in program history. … QB Jeremiah Briscoe needs 86 passing yards to reach 10,000 for his career as a Bearkat. … WRs Yedidiah Louis and Davion Davis each have 26 career TD receptions, one shy of the school-record 27 by Matt Dominguez.

The loss was to league-leading Central Arkansas, 47-17. … The Cowboys have the league’s top-ranked defense, atop the SLC in scoring, total and rushing defense. Lamar update: The Cardinals will be playing their main rival in McNeese State. … Lamar is looking to end its season with consecutiv­e victories after earning its first SLC win last week at Houston Baptist, a victory that got the team out of the conference cellar and into a two-way tie for ninth place, ending a seven-game losing skid. … Playing their final game for Big Red will be 11 seniors. …Lamar trails 259-1 in the series, including 14-4-1 in Beaumont.
