Lillian Brasse Lampert, a longtime resident of Lago Vista, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2017. Lillian, a native Houstonian, was born on May 11, 1935, and graduated from Saint Agnes Academy. She later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston in 1957. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Henry A. Lampert, Jr.

Lillian often reflected on fond memories of her summers spent on the family farm as a child in Columbus, Texas. Her passion for the outdoors, travel, and a sense of adventure carried over to her adult life. Lillian and Henry traveled the world together and collected friendship­s along the way, eventually living in Greece for four years with their two children. Upon returning to Houston in 1974, Lillian worked as a Procuremen­t Specialist for Shell Oil Company for over 20 years, later retiring in 1997 with a move to Lago Vista. In retirement, Lillian and Henry continued their quest for adventure by undertakin­g multiple road trips throughout the United States and Canada. On these trips, Lillian discovered an appreciati­on for the Montana scenery and the Canadian Rockies.

Lillian had many varied interests and hobbies, but her selflessne­ss, compassion, willingnes­s to help others, and playful wit always defined her. She cherished the numerous years spent volunteeri­ng for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, as well as her involvemen­t with the Garden Club and Women’s Club of Lago Vista. A devout member of the Catholic Church, the Christmas season was her favorite time of the year. She not only celebrated spirituall­y, but made valuable memories with her friends and family through her thoughtful­ness, generosity, and love of seasonal hosting.

Lillian is also survived by her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaugh­ter: Jennifer, Jack, and Sarah Heberlig, of Brookfield, CT; brother and sister-in-law: James and Pat Brasse, of Lufkin, TX; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lillian will be laid to rest alongside her mother, Martha Schobel Brasse, and her son, Thomas Lampert, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11am at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas. A memorial mass will be held in her honor at a later date.
