For the third time in as many months, Houston police are on the hunt for a Snapchat shooter.

Police issued a plea for help Thursday along with footage showing the Nov. 20 slaying of Oscar Green.

Cellphone footage shows a fight between Green, 47, and two women just before 2 a.m. outside a gas station at Cook and Beechnut. As the fight moves around the corner, another bystander starts filming.

“Then our Snapchat suspect, he comes rolling up,” HPD investigator Fil Waters said. “We don’t know if he had a relationship with the women or if he just looked at this opportunity as, ‘Hey you know, I’m a bad guy, I’ve got my Schwinn bicycle here, I’m ready to go. I’m armed, here we go.’ And he gets in the middle of the deal and — bam! — starts to shoot.”

As they cross the street, three more shots ring out, and Green falls to the ground.

Police are still looking for two women and the shooter, described as 25 to 30 and about 6 feet tall with a slender build and dreadlocks. He’s often in the area on a blue Schwinn bicycle with blue reflectors, police said.

Anyone with information should contact HPD Homicide at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713222-TIPS (713-222-8477).

The previous two Snapchat shootings both netted arrests.

During the first incident, in September, a Houston rapper and a 27-year-old woman were charged with felony criminal mischief and deadly conduct after video showed them firing into a neighborhood from a moving vehicle.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office used social media to identify the suspects as Sierra Tarbutton and 29-year-old Michael Cuellar .

In the second incident, in November, Snapchat footage showed Edwin Ospino, 22, firing shots near a Heights-area park. He was arrested as the result of a Crime Stoppers tip and released on $20,000 bail.
