Katy - Marilyn Lindsey Rose Dismuke, 66, of Katy, TX, passed away in her sleep November 28, 2017. Lin was born August 14, 1951 to Marilyn Lindsey and Shirley Owens Rose, Jackson, TN. She married Keith Ingram Dismuke on August 28, 1970. Lin’s life was defined by a tireless dedication to sharing God’s love, compassion, and grace. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a passion for teaching children about Jesus. Lin served as the Preschool and Children’s Ministry Director at Riverbend Baptist Church, Fulshear, TX and previously worked as the Texas Children’s Area Coordinato­r for Bible Study Fellowship. When she wasn’t working with children, Lin enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, sewing, advocating for St. Jude CRH, and supporting the Houston Astros. Above all, Lin loved people. Her effervesce­nt love brought joy to people everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service celebratin­g Lin’s life will be held at Kingsland Baptist Church, Katy, TX at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 4. Funeral services will be held in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Memphis on December 6 at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Surviving Lin is her adoring husband of 47 years, Keith Dismuke of Katy, TX. Also surviving her are daughter Leigh Dismuke; son Craig Dismuke; brother Lt Col (ret) Charles A. (Butch) Rose; mother-in-law Marie Ingram Dismuke; daughter-in-law Ashley Dismuke; and three beloved grandchild­ren; Madison, Lindsey, and Ingram Dismuke.
