James Dupree Wofford, Jr., 61 years old of The Woodlands, TX passed away, Jan. 6, 2018. He was born in Pasadena, TX, on Feb. 2, 1956. Jim graduated from South Houston High School, class of ’74 and received his B.A. in Architectu­re from The University of Houston. He was married to Rebecca Lee Wofford on July 27, 1979.

Jim had a long and successful career in architectu­re and design management. He began his career with HL&P, Compaq, and HP. Most recently, he was flourishin­g as The Executive Director of Facilities and Constructi­on at The University of Houston.

Jim was an active and longtime member of AIA, The Woodlands Church and Lake Livingston Estates POA. Jim was honored with the Lifetime Directors Club Committee at the HLSR. He had a passion for his children and grandchild­ren, his church, cars, sports, rodeo, music, the outdoors, funny jokes, fitness, movies, and working on his lake house in Livingston, TX.

He was preceded in death by Rebecca Lee Wofford, wife, of Pasadena; Mother and Father, James D. and Eva M. Wofford Sr. of Livingston,TX

He is survived by his son, Jason Wofford of Houston TX; daughter and son-in-law, Justin and Jamie Cooper of Houston, TX, with beloved grandchild­ren, Jackson and Macie Cooper; and girlfriend whom he planned to spend the rest of his life with, Tami Greggerson and family.
