Rose Claire Millington Wright of Houston passed away on January 10, 2018 after a long illness. She was born on June 2, 1927 to Charles and Charlotte Rowe Millington in Alden, Pennsylvan­ia. Rose was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. She deeply loved her time spent with family and close friends. Nothing pleased her more than a good laugh and a sassy comeback.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her five sisters Amelia Phillips, Laberta Elswood, Jane Robinson, Shirley Erwine, and Harriet Leddo, and her six brothers Alfred, Edwin, Charles, Talmadge, Thomas, and Milton Millington.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 67 years Lundy R. Wright Jr., her daughters and their husbands Gayle and Tom Boisture of Baytown, Texas and Christine and Scott Trull of Austin, Texas, her five grandchild­ren, Lindsey Boisture Wohlford, Morgan Boisture Shields, Garrett Boisture, Graham Trull, and Mason Trull, and her six great-grandchild­ren Farrah, Lyla, and Georgia Wohlford, and Flynn, Marlowe, and Rue Shields. She also leaves a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her many kind and loving friends and caregivers at Parkway Place of Houston, Home Health Resources, and Hospice Plus for their tender care and support over this past year.

A service of remembranc­e will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Parkway Place, 1321 Park Bayou Dr., Houston, Texas 77077, under the direction of Reverend John Bender. She will be inurned in the Columbariu­m in the Chapel at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas following a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the “Road to Serve More” fund at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church at 3811 N. Main St., Baytown, Texas 77521 in her memory or to the charity of your choice.
