Bao K. Lam first moved Houston in 1977. He was taken from the world on January 11, 2018. He was born on May 15, 1956 in Vientiane, Laos, to parents Lam Yu Tang and Lam Leu Chai Lieng, brother to Pat, Vivi, Calvin, Lily, Nira and Tony

Bao immigrated to America in 1972 where he graduated from Bellflower High School and then attended Cerritos City College and mechanic school. He began working as a mechanic then went on to work day and night as a electrician for Houston Lighting and Power. He achieved the American dream through hard work and dedication. He eventually became a successful entrepreneur who owned Subways and properties.

Bao was a caring friend to many, a loving brother, and above all else a fun loving father who provided nothing but the best for his two children. His children looked up to Bao as their role model and they admired him as their hero. He was always there to offer a helping hand. Bao will be remembered for his sense of humor and generous nature. He will be missed beyond words. He is survived by his daughter Michelle and his son Richard.
