Clark Kavenaugh Johnson, 28, of Houston, died tragically in a motorcycle accident on January 12, 2018. Born on Sunday, April 24, 1989, he was the beloved son of the late Robert Johnson and Sheryl Johnson-Todd.

Clark attended the Parrish School, Briarwood School, River Oaks Elementary in his formative years. Subsequent schools were Lanier Middle School, Lamar High School and The Gow School in NY.

Clark was a loving and happy child who grew to be a young adult with a contagious, mischievou­s smile and ever-present laugh. He always saw the brighter side of life. As an Eagle Scout, Clark especially loved the outdoors and camping adventures. He used all these skills when spending time at his favorite place, the family farm in Bleiblervi­lle, Texas. More than anything, Clark was a wonderful father who adored his son, CJ. Family and friends will deeply miss Clark’s wonderful spirit and kind and generous heart.

Clark is survived by many family members in Houston, including his precious son Clark (“CJ”) Kavenaugh Johnson, Jr. He is also survived by his mother Sheryl Johnson-Todd; stepmother Patricia Holland; maternal grandmothe­r Mary Look; brother Robert Livingston Johnson IV, wife Erin, and their children Livingston and Rhett; sister Meredith Johnson Vreeland, husband Jeff, and their children Jack, Caroline, and Collins (Atlanta, GA); stepbrothe­r Will Holland-Freed and wife Katie Long (Austin, TX); CJ’s mother Kendra Collman; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Johnson III; maternal grandfathe­r, August Look, Jr.; paternal grandparen­ts Sally and Robert L. Johnson, Jr.; and nephew Robert (“Quint”) L. Johnson, V.

A memorial service will be held at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2450 River Oaks Blvd in Houston, on January 29, 2018 at 3:00p.m.
