COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tony Carr hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Penn State an 82-79 upset victory over No. 13 Ohio State 82-79 on Thursday night, handing the Buckeyes their first Big Ten loss.

Carr had 28 points and was 4-for-5 from 3-point range for the Nittany Lions, who were a 11-for14 from beyond the arc in beating a Top 25 team for the first time this season.

Vincent Edwards scored 30 points, Isaac Haas added 24, and the No. 3 Boilermake­rs matched a school record with their 16 straight victory, using a late charge to finally get past the 25th-ranked Wolverines in West Lafayette, Ind.

Allonzo Trier scored 23 points, Deandre Ayton added 20, and the No. 11 Wildcats avenged their lone loss of the Pac-12 season by beating the Buffaloes in Tucson, Ariz.

Shaquille Morris scored 19 points to lead the 17th-ranked Shockers to a victory over the Knights in Wichita, Kan.
