Events allow Houstonians to get in touch with nature
Whether it’s food, culture or exercise that you’re in search of, one thing is for certain: there is an outdoor event for you in the greater Houston area this spring. The area’s parks have a variety to choose from, with many spotlighting some of the most unique activities the city has to offer.
• Try the Bayou City Art Festival, Friday-Sunday, March 23-25, at Memorial Park, which is put on by the Art Colony Association and benefits arts programs across the greater Houston area. The festival will have more than 350 artists from across Houston and Texas either producing art on site or showcasing completed projects available for purchase. The festival also will feature live entertainment, music, children’s crafts and more.
“The Bayou City Art Festival at Memorial Park has a certain energy that brings the Houston community together to experience great art, music, and a sense of pride in our great city while raising funds for our non-profit partners,” said Carrie Clevenger, artist relations director, Art Colony Association, Inc. “There is something for everyone at the festival and the location at Memorial Park makes for a perfect weekend.”
