Length of time working at current place?

I’ve been working for the company for two years. I started as a bartender at Local Table and was promoted to bar manager there. I opened with The Local Bar last February.

Nickname?

Pink! My hair is short and blond, shaved on the sides. (Like Pink, the singer.)

Lamest pickup line you’ve heard at the bar?

Guy: Excuse me, there’s something wrong with my phone. Me: I’m sorry, I don’t know much about phones. Guy: No worries, I think it’s an easy fix. It just needs your number in it.

Most famous person you’ve ever served a drink to?

James Taylor from “The Bachelorette.”

Becoming friends with customers: yes or no?

I say yes. I don’t like to refer to my guests as customers. I enjoy learning names and personalities. I love people!

Most common customer complaint?

If I had to find one, I would say our limited draft selection. We only have six beers on tap, but they are all local craft brews and awesome.

What’s the sloppiest, drunkest thing you’ve ever seen on the job?

Oh, there are so many. I think the top of the list was right after the Astros won the World Series. A guy went and jumped in our fountain, then stood up on a table celebrating and then dumped an entire bottle of champagne over his head. Then he hugged me. I wasn’t thrilled about being soaking wet with champagne and fountain water, but there are worse things.

What’s the most outrageous request you’ve ever gotten?

A guest insisted I stir his drink with my finger. He said he had a fear of straws and spoons and wanted his drink to have a little sweetness. I just realized this probably counts as a pickup line.

Where do you like to go have a drink when you’re not at work?

I like The Wildcatter in Katy. It reminds me of a field party. Super laid-back, cheap drinks and literally a field to hang out in.

What’s your specialty drink, and how do you make it?

The first specialty drink I came up with was the Local ’Tini. It’s premium vodka, Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur, Elderflower liqueur and homemade lemonade. Shaken. Served in a martini glass with a lemon wheel.

What’s something your customers may not know about you?

I worked at a ski resort cocktailing while getting my microbiology degree. I broke my wrist when a deer ran out in front of me as I was coming down a black diamond run and I tackled it! Deer — 1, Lindsey — 0.
