ANNIE GREEN

1924-2018

-

Annie Rudik Green passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Ann was born in Pierce, Texas, on January 17, 1924, to Nikita and Rosie Rudik. She married William Clifford Green, on January 11, 1947, and they were married 68 years until Clifford’s death in 2015.Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Jim Taylor, a number of nieces and nephews, and many friends. Ann was the Assistant Recording Secretary for the American Brahman Breeders Association for over fifty years, and was honored with the International Show dedication in 1992. Her work friends were important to her, and she kept up contact with many of them long after her retirement. Ann was a faithful friend and constant encourager to many, young and old, at her church, First Colony Bible Chapel. She served for many years as a volunteer cook at Cedar Hill Bible Camp. Ann had a quiet and gentle spirit that allowed her to accept whatever came into her life as from God’s hand. She never complained. Not surprisingly, others found her presence peaceful and comforting. Ann and Clifford lived at the Brookdale Independent Living Community in Sugar Land in their later years and made many friends there. Her family wishes especially to thank the faithful friends at First Colony Bible Chapel who loved and cared for Ann in her last years. Your kindness and generosity honors the name of Christ and reflects God’s grace. Special thanks, also, to Dr. Donald Ford and his staff, who took such good care of her.

Services for Ann Green will be at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm with internment to follow. The family will receive friends at noon. Memorial gifts in Ann’s honor may be sent to First Colony Bible Chapel, 3610 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, TX 77479 or to Sandy Creek Bible Camp, 5051 Prayer Lane, Washington, TX 77880.
