PATRICIA RUTH WAKEFIELD

1928-2018

Patricia Ruth Wakefield, age 89, passed away on Saturday, the 3rd of March 2018. Gray, her husband of 62 years and family were at her side.

Pat was born on the 25th of August 1928 in El Reno, Oklahoma to William Benton Cosgrove and Fannie Joplin Cosgrove. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Cosgrove; and sister-in law, Dorothy Cosgrove. She is survived by her husband Gray Wakefield; children, Martha and Carroll Faulkner of Austin; Nancy Wakefield of Houston; Barbara and Mark Dinges of Houston; and Cathy and Bobby Wertheimer of Houston. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 9th of March, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A memorial service will be conducted at noon on Saturday, the 10th of March, in the Hankamer Chapel of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston.

The family will gather for a private interment at Forest Park Westheimer in Houston.
