JOSE FRANCISCO “JOE” GONZALEZ, III

1977-2018

Jose Francisco “Joe” Gonzalez, III, 41, was born on March 22, 1977 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 26, 2018 in Cypress, Texas. Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose Francisco Gonzalez, Sr. & Tomasa Gonzalez; also, by his maternal grandparents, Cipriano Jasso & Maria A. Jasso. Joe leaves behind his loving parents, Jose Francisco “Joe” Gonzalez, Jr. & Alma Rosa Gonzalez; his daughter, Briauna Marie Gonzalez; his son, Jose Francisco “Jojo” Gonzalez, IV; his sisters, Gina Vanessa Kuper & husband Jonathan Kuper and Diane Gonzalez; his brother, Christian Jay Gonzalez & wife Katherine Gonzalez; his nephews, Jackson Elijah Kuper and Logan Sebastian Gonzalez; and many other friends and relatives.

Joe was a graduate of St. Thomas High School, St. Thomas University and the Culinary Institute. He grew up in the restaurant business following the footsteps of his grandparents and parents, where he served as Director of Operations for Mamacita’s Restaurants and El Jardin Restaurant. His charismatic personality, wit and charm were gifts to all who knew him. His children, Briauna and Jojo, his parents and family were the pride and joy of his life.

He had a zest for life and was an avid sports aficionado. He also enjoyed exercising and traveling.

Debonair, tall and handsome is how he will be remembered. Joe will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will take place on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10am at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
