Betty Marie Lantrip, 93, of Bryan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 27th at Generation­s Senior Care Facility in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 6th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A celebratio­n of Betty’s life is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 7th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 7th at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.

Betty was born February 25, 1925 in Nacogdoche­s County, Texas, the daughter of Bryant Monroe and Letha Ola Strahan. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmothe­r; she was a collector of antiques and she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and crocheting quilts for loved ones. Betty also loved to cook and if she knew company was coming over, she would cook as if it was Thanksgivi­ng or Christmas. She was a beautician for 44 ½ years before retiring and moving to Bryan. Betty was a member of the Uplifters Class at Central Baptist Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy “Bill” Lantrip; her parents, Bryant and Letha Ola Strahan; two brothers, Barham and Jimmy Strahan; and two sisters, Jacqueline Dowden and Vera Bass.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Paschal of Bryan and son, Richard L. Wooten & wife Florence of Katy; two brothers, Robbie Strahan & wife Maxine of Wynnewood, OK, Dan Strahan & wife Barbara of Franklin; two brothers in law, Gary Lantrip & wife Betty Ann of Cypress, Charles Lantrip of Houston and sister in law, Shirley McCluer of Las Vegas NV; five grandchild­ren, Bill Lucas, Paul Wooten, Jennifer Wooten, Meichell Paschal, Kellie Elson; nine great grandchild­ren, Larissa Nowaski, Heather Wooten, Cassy Nichols, Stephen Nichols, Colin Wooten, Yancy Wilson, D.J Ricks, James Ricks, Trina Ricks; eleven great-great grandchild­ren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer­s are Robbie Lee Strahan, Don Wayne Strahan, Randy Bass, Jeff Todd, Tim Dowden and Cecil Wilson. Honorary Pallbearer­s are Kevin Strahan, Danny Strahan and Stephen Nichols.

In lieu of flowers a memorial can be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.

The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley for their care and support, also the staff at Generation­s Senior Care Facility.
