MARGARET PARKER

1928-2018

Margaret Stone Parker died on March 31, 2018 at the age of 89. She married Robert H. Parker in September 1947, and was married 65 years. Margaret was actively involved with St. John Vianney Catholic Church, including the Samaritans Ministry, Joseph Coat Resale Shop and the Women’s Club. She had a strong faith and her family was the most important part of her life. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Margaret is survived by her son James Robert Parker, daughter Judy Riley and Andy Anderson, daughter, Jean Prados and husband Pete. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dennis Riley, Robby Anderson and wife Amanda, Courtney Lyssy and husband Justin, Christie McMillan, Justin Parker and wife Michelle, and Caitlyn Parker; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Micah, Daniel, Reagan and Madeline; her sister Pat Muston and her nephews.

The Parker family will be present to receive friends Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dettling Funeral Home, 14094 Memorial Drive at Kirkwood, Houston, TX 77079. The Funeral Mass will commence Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079. A reception will follow Mass in St. Jude Hall on the church grounds. A committal service will be held at a later date at SouthPark Cemetery.
