Ex-NFL player Smith back in jail
Authorities said former Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers player Aldon Smith is back in a California jail after violating a condition of his bail. Online records show that Smith, 28, was being held in San Francisco County Jail on $500,000 bond.The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Smith was booked Friday for violating a condition of his electronic monitoring while on bail. Last month, Smith pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and other charges. A judge issued a protective order prohibiting him from contacting the victim. He later surrendered to police on charges he violated the restraining order. The Raiders released the linebacker after his arrest on the domestic violence charges. … Khabib Nurmagomedov battered and bloodied Al Iaquinta and won the UFC 155-pound championship by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 223 at Barclays Center in New York on Saturday night. Nurmagomedov improved to 26-0. He won 50-43 on two scorecards and 50-44 on the third. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas made it 2for-2 against Joanna Jedrzejczyk and defended her 115-pound championship with a unanimous decision victory. Namajunas (9-3) defeated Jedrzejczyk in the first round of their first match in November to win the strawweight championship.
