He had won his last 11 consecutiv­e regular-season decisions, dating to while he was still a Tiger last year. … Carlos Correa’s 48-game errorless streak is the longest by an Astros shortstop since Adam Everett had a 53-game streak in 2006.

Rangers (15-24) update: Texas is 3-4 against the Astros this year but won the last two meetings in extra innings at Minute Maid Park on April 15-16. … The sizzling Nomar Mazara is slashing .324/.425/1.000 in nine May games and has hit seven of his 10 home runs this month. On Wednesday, he beat the Tigers with a walkoff blast in the 10th after tying the game with a homer in the seventh. … Adrian Beltre, who has played two games since returning from the DL, drove in two runs Wednesday to move past Tony Perez for sole possession of 30th place on the all-time RBI list. With 1,654 RBIs, Beltre is 13 shy of 29thplace Sammy Sosa.
