Houston’s season ends with 19-11 loss to North Carolina.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Zack Gahagan homered, and Michael Busch drove in four runs as North Carolina advanced to its first NCAA super regional in five years by beating Houston 19-11 on Sunday night.

Kyle Datres led off the first inning with a home run for the Tar Heels (41-18), and Brandon Riley and Ike Freeman added three RBIs apiece for North Carolina.

Joe Davis, who drove in five runs, hit a grand slam in the eighth to pull the third-seeded Cougars (38-25) to 14-11, but the Tar Heels pulled away with five runs in the eighth.

Jared Triolo and Drew Minter also homered for the Cougars.

Earlier in the day, Davis homered during a four-run eighth inning, and the Cougars coasted to an 8-4 eliminatio­n-game victory over Purdue.

Tyler Bielamowic­z and Grayson Padgett had back-to-back RBI triples during the big inning.

TEXAS TECH 11, LOUISVILLE 6

Zach Rheams homered twice, including a three-run shot in the first inning, and Davis Martin took a shutout into the fifth as the Red Raiders overpowere­d the Cardinals to sweep the Lubbock Regional.

Louisville (45-19) had its five-year streak of reaching a super tegional stopped.

Texas Tech (42-17), the No. 9 national seed, awaits the winner of the Athens Regional with a chance to host a super tegional if Georgia does not advance. The Red Raiders are seeking their third trip to the College World Series in five seasons.

Rheams had four hits and five RBIs, including an RBI single for a 9-1 lead in the sixth and a solo homer leading off the ninth, the Cardinals had pulled within 9-6. Cody Farhat homered and drove in three runs for Tech.

STANFORD 4, BAYLOR 2

Andrew Daschbach hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and the No. 2 national seed Cardinal avoided eliminatio­n with a victory over the Bears in the Stanford Regional.

Stanford (46-11) moved on to face Cal State Fullerton in Sunday's late game at the Sunken Diamond. The Titans defeated Stanford 4-3 on Saturday night.

After Daschbach's 17th homer of the season gave the Cardinal the early lead, Will Matthiesse­n added an RBI triple and Alec Wilson hit a sacrifice fly to go up 4-0 in the second inning.

Baylor (37-21) threatened with a pair of solo home runs — Davion Downey's fifth-inning shot to right and Shea Langeliers'to left in the seventh.

ARKANSAS 4, DALLAS BAPTIST 3

Grant Koch drove in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning, and Jake Reindle pitched seven innings of strong relief as the Razorbacks defeated the Patriots to win the Fayettevil­le Regional.

Arkansas (42-18) will return to super regionals for the first time since 2015 and will be matched against the winner of the Greenville Regional.

Koch singled to give the Razorbacks a 3-2 lead in the fourth, and Heston Kjerstad's base hit in the seventh made it 4-2. Dallas Baptist (42-21) got a run back in the ninth, but Matt Cronin got a strikeout and flyout to end the game.

The Patriots advanced with a 9-4 eliminatio­n-game victory over Southern Mississipp­i earlier in the day. Garrett Wolforth and Tim Millard hit back-toback homers in the fifth inning to break open the game.

MISSISSIPP­I ST. 13 OKLAHOMA 5

Rowdey Jordan and Jake Mangum each had three hits and drove in two runs as the Bulldogs beat the Sooners to force a deciding game in the Tallahasse­e Regional.

Jordan's two-run homer to right was part of an eight-run third in which Mississipp­i State (34-26) broke open the game, sending 12 batters to the plate. Most of the runs came off OU starter Devon Perez (5-6), who gave up seven runs and eight hits in 21⁄3 innings.

Tanner Allen had a threerun shot in the seventh for the Bulldogs, who hit nine home runs in four regional games.

Cade Harris went 2-for-4 with a home run and drove in two runs for the Sooners (3824).

STETSON 11, OKLAHOMA ST. 1

Jack Perkins threw a threehitte­r and was buoyed by a 10-run third inning as the Hatters defeated the Cowboys to win the DeLand Regional.

Stetson (48-11), which is the national No. 11 seed and has the longest winning streak at 18 games, is headed to its first super regional and will face the winner of the Chapel Hill Regional.

Perkins retired the first 10 hitters and did not allow a hit until Christian Funk doubled to lead off the fifth. The junior righthande­r (11-2) allowed an unearned run, tied a career high with 13 strikeouts and walked one.

Earlier in the day, Oklahoma State (31-26-1) got two homers from Trevor Boone and a seven-hitter by Jonathan Heasley to beat South Florida 6-1.
