The wife of Ottawa Senators captain Erik Karlsson has filed an order of protection against the girlfriend of one of Karlsson’s teammates. Melinda Karlsson alleges harassment and cyberbully­ing. In an applicatio­n for a peace bond, she says Monika Caryk posted hundreds of derogatory online messages aimed at her and her husband, a star player for the Senators. Caryk is a partner of Senators forward Mike Hoffman, who denies the allegation­s. …

Jordan Scott, the alltime leading rusher in Colgate history, died while on vacation in Thailand, officials confirmed. The 31-year-old had gone missing Friday after jumping into water near a dam south of Bangkok. Scott rushed for 5,621 yards on 1,240 attempts, before graduating in 2009.
