Crystal clear violations
Regarding “Family: Pakistani immigrant unjustly held” (Page A7, Tuesday), civilized countries exist because they have rules and laws to govern that country. Mohammad Sarfaraz Hussain was allowed to enter this country with the understanding and agreement that he would be attending a university or college and not work here.
Hussain broke both of those agreements for being here, and now he and his family wonder why he is being detained and facing possible deportation.
Some of the 9/11 terrorists entered this country that same way via student visas. He's trying to blame a lawyer for some poor advice, but did that lawyer know that he had already violated his student visa in the first place?
People need to take responsibility for their actions and quit blaming things like racial profiling. Robert M. Louie, Houston
