ALL-STAR GAME

Milwaukee first baseman Jesus Aguilar and Seattle shortstop Jean Segura won the Camping World MLB Final Vote by fans and will head to Washington for Tuesday’s AllStar Game.

Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas has been removed from the National League’s active roster for the game because he is scheduled to start Sunday. Dodgers righthande­r Ross Stripling was added to the NL staff as Mikolas’ replacemen­t.

BALTIMORE ORIOLES

Righthande­r Andrew Cashner has been placed on the 10day disabled list with a neck strain. Cashner received an injection Wednesday to treat the injury. Rookie Jefry Ramirez was recalled from Class AAA Norfolk.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX

Reliever Bruce Rondon was designated for assignment. The 27-year-old was 2-3 with an 8.49 ERA and a save in 35 games.

CLEVELAND INDIANS

Manager Terry Francona apologized to his players for Tuesday night’s communicat­ion breakdown that allowed the Reds to rally for a 7-4 win. A mixup between Francona and pitching coach Carl Willis in the ninth inning resulted in the Indians not getting the matchup they wanted and the Reds stormed back. Francona said he apologized “because I don’t like messing up.”

Reliever Andrew Miller pitched off the mound, a significan­t step in his recovery from a knee injury. He has been out since May 26.

LOS ANGELES ANGELS

Pitcher Garrett Richards went on the 10-day disabled list due to ulnar collateral ligament damage in his right elbow. He will be out indefinite­ly.

MINNESOTA TWINS

Reliever Addison Reed was placed on the 10-day disabled list with tightness in his triceps. Righthande­r Alan Busenitz was recalled from Class AAA Rochester.

NEW YORK METS

Noah Syndergaar­d will make his first start in seven weeks Friday. The righthande­r has been out with a strained ligament in his right index finger.
