FRED VALERIO CANNATA, JR.

Fred Valerio Cannata, aged 90, passed away on Wednesday, the 25 of July 2018. He was born on the 14th of February 1928 in Houston to Fred Valerio Cannata, Sr. and Lena Cannata. He attended Lamar High School and graduated from University of Houston. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He founded Heirloom Electro-Plating, Inc. in 1961. His son, Fred, joined him in the business in 1973. After his retirement, he split his time between Houston and his other home in Sidney, B.C., Canada. He will be remembered for his kind nature, warm smile, and his love of cars and old movies.

Fred is survived by son, Fred V. Cannata III and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cannata; Cheryl¹s children, John Cowhig and JoBeth Prochaska; his daughter, Therese Cannata and son-in-law Robert Bowman, and three grandchild­ren, Francesca Cannata-Bowman, Nicholas Cannata-Bowman and Sophia Cannata-Bowman.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary being recited 7:00 PM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 4525 Bissonnet St., Bellaire, TX 77401. The funeral mass will be celebrated at half-past ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 27th of July 2018, at St.Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway in Houston. The Rite of Committal will be held 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018 at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX.
