Adora Julia DelGrano Kutchin, 90, of The Woodlands, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, surrounded by family.

Adora was born in Rockford, Illinois, on February 16, 1928. She received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from The University of Illinois, Urbana/ Champaign, where she met and married Joseph William Kutchin. Their loving marriage lasted for 51 years until his death in 2001.

Adora demonstrat­ed her commitment to helping others by cofounding and serving as past president of the Montgomery County Women’s Center. She also served in leadership roles with the Mental Health Associatio­n, Mental Health Mental Retardatio­n, United Way, The University of Houston Moores School of Music, The Academy for Lifelong Learning, and as an ombudsman for local nursing home residents, among her

many contributi­ons.

Adora was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Kutchin. She is survived by her two children, Joshua and Matthew, her beloved daughter-in-law Heidi Kutchin, and two grandchild­ren, Noah Kutchin and Caleb Kutchin.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands.

In place of flowers donations may be made to the Montgomery County Women’s Center.
