MORGAN JEFFERSON “JAY” DAVIS

With great sadness, the Davis family announces the passing of beloved Morgan Jefferson “Jay” Davis, age 62, on August 9th, 2018.

He is survived by his mother Randa Kerr Davis, his sisters Veta Maxwell, Meg Davis Albin, Daphne Davis, his daughter, Katie Linick, sonin-law Ryan Linick, grandson Austin Linick, daughter Julia Davis, nephew Carter Maxwell, niece Marjorie Page, loving aunts, numerous cousins and his loyal canines Willie and Quito.

Jay attended The University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX and studied Business and Finance in 1980 at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He then received a graduate degree from the Commercial and Internatio­nal Real Estate School of Investment­s.

Morgan owned Austin Profession­als, Texas Profession­als, followed by South Texas Parks LLC.

Jay loved people. He enjoyed playing guitar and was an avid sailor. When he wasn’t sailing he was hang gliding, riding motorcycle­s, segways, and skiing. He had boundless enthusiasm for the outdoors and for time spent with his family and friends. Jay had a great intellect and curiosity for all things. He will be remembered by his beautiful smile, uplifting kindness and compassion to all.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15th at two o’clock in the afternoon at St. John the Devine Chapel, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard, Houston, Texas, 77019.
