Q: I was wondering why 4G on my cellphone will not work in convention halls. I tried to solve this problem by getting my own portable Wi-Fi hot spot, but it turns out that didn’t work either. How does all this work, and is there a solution to this problem?

There are two problems with getting good connectivity inside a convention hall. The first is that these spaces tend to be very large, making the interior quite far from the nearest cell tower.
