TERESA QUIROZ-LANDRY
1941-2018
Teresa Quiroz-Landry, 77, went home to be with her Lord on Sept 3, 2018.
Teresa was born Jan 9,1941 to the late Hilario and Guadalupe Quiroz in Houston, Texas. She was the 11th of 15 children. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Hilario and Guadalupe, 6 brothers and 1 sister, Raymond, Louis, Manuel, Larry, Alfonso, Rudy and Rosa. She is survived by 2 brothers and 5 sisters, Phillip, David, Angelita, JoAnn, Josie, Patricia and MaryAnn.
Teresa married the love of her life, Anthony Hurey Landry on Nov 25,1958 and this loving union brought 7 children to the family. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Hurey on Oct 6, 1992. Teresa leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Teresa Ann Kamp, Anthony Landry, Rosemary Landry, Chris Landry, Richard Landry, Lupe Holder, Mary Hamm and their spouses. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and host of sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Christopher Jordan Estrada (JuJu).
Teresa loved her family and devoted all her time and effort to caring for them. She always wore a smile on her face and was ready to speak a kind word or give encouragement and love to those who needed it. She truly believed in putting others before herself. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those who knew her. “Her children arise up, and call her blessed.” (Proverbs 31.28)
We Praise the Lord for our Mother Teresa, and for her belief in our precious Jesus Christ who she came to know as her own Lord and Savior. She is with Him now in that beautiful place called Heaven that God has created for all those who put their trust in his Son, the Lord Jesus, and the sacrifice He made for all through his death on the cross. This paid the price for our sins. All those that will come to Him, turning from their own way, and accept Him as their own personal Lord and Savior, will one day see Teresa again in Heaven! It was her wish, that all would come to know Jesus, in her Life, and now in her Death... so that she would see us again one day! John 5:11-13
