Harold Edward Fesler, 92, of Houston passed away on September 22, 2018 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Rosharon, Texas. Harold was born on October 18, 1925 to Rev. Carney Cedrick and Elizabeth Ranney Fesler in Doniphan, Missouri. He married Doris Jane Alexander in Bowling Green, Ohio on June 13, 1951. She passed away November 12, 2006. Harold graduated from Central High School in Cape Girardeau, MO and Bradley University in Peoria, IL. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the Army Air Force during World War II. He served time in the South Pacific but was not involved in combat. After college graduation he joined the United States Air Force as an officer and became a pilot, worked on the Minuteman Missiles and flight line maintenanc­e. After over twenty years in the Air Force he worked in the trucking industry as a regional maintenanc­e supervisor. After retiring he enjoyed watching his grandchild­ren play soccer, square dancing and traveling around the world.

Survivors include son Douglas E. Fesler and wife Kathy; daughter Dana J. Fesler; two grandchild­ren, Elizabeth G. Fesler and William E. Fesler Sr. and wife Rachel; three great-grandchild­ren, Emma, Ellie and William Jr; two brothers-in-law, James Alexander of Bowling Green, OH and Robert Alexander of Cleveland, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents, two brothers Herbert C. Fesler, Carney C. Fesler, Jr and sister, Elizabeth L. Fesler.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Houston National Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Davis Days Foundation, PO Box 817, Pearland, TX 77588 or Second Servings of Houston, 4500 Bissonnet Street, Suite 360, Bellaire, TX 77401.
