Texas update: Quarterback Sam Ehlinger will start two weeks after suffering a first-degree right shoulder sprain. In seven games this year, Ehlinger has thrown for 1,534 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions, both in the season opener against Maryland. … Senior cornerbacks Davante Davis and Kris Boyd and junior receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, will begin the game on the bench after arriving late to a team function. Coach Tom Herman said the trio will sit out “at least” one series. … Texas is plus-seven in turnover margin during the last four games and plus-eight during its six-game winning streak.

Oklahoma State update: Fifth-year senior Taylor Cornelius has completed 52.9 percent of his passes with four touchdowns and four turnovers (three interceptions, one fumble) over his last two starts, both losses. … Junior running back Justice Hill’s 3,293 career rushing yards ranks fifth among active players and first among Power Five nonseniors. In an overtime win over Texas last year, Hill had 146 total yards. … The Cowboys lead the nation with 4.29 sacks per game and rank eighth in FBS with 8.6 tackles for loss per game. Defensive end Jordan Brailford leads the Big 12 with eight sacks.
