On Saturday, November 10, 2018, Warner Strang, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 74. Warner spent most of his life in Texas. After spending his childhood in Dallas, he received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineerin­g from Rice University and a Masters in Business Administra­tion from Stanford. He had a career in constructi­on management spanning 40+ years. During that time Warner left his lasting footprint all across Houston and the world building hospitals, hotels, company headquarte­rs, schools, and churches. Warner also enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others through teaching as an adjunct professor of constructi­on sciences at Texas A&M. He was the founder and first president of West University Recycling. He was a devoted husband, happily married to his wife Sharron for over 50 years. As a father, Warner was actively engaged in raising his two very active boys, Michael and Steven, and served as their little league team manager for a decade. Warner loved deeply his five grandchild­ren-Jack, Leila, Ben, Sophia, and Tyler. He was known for his deep intellect, thoughtful wisdom, kind heart, and selflessne­ss. Warner will be greatly missed as a husband, loving father, grandfathe­r, brother, and friend. There will be a viewing at the Earthman-Bellaire Funeral Home on Bissonnet from 6pm-8pm Friday the 16th and the funeral will be held Saturday morning the 17th at 10am at St. Anne Catholic Church on Westheimer.
