New Orleans 10-1 (last week’s ranking: 1):
The Saints take a 10-game winning streak into their Thursday night home game against Dallas.
L.A. Rams 10-1 (2):
The Rams play Detroit. Because they lost to New Orleans, the Saints own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Kansas City 9-2 (3):
After losing to the Rams before their off week, the Chiefs return to play at Oakland.
New England 8-3 (5):
The Patriots beat the Jets by 14. The schedule gets tougher with a home game against Minnesota.
Chicago 8-3 (6):
The Bears have gone from worst to first in the NFC North in their first season under Matt Nagy.
Houston 8-3 (7):
Their victory over Tennessee meant the Texans are the first team in history to win eight in a row after an 0-3 start.
L.A. Chargers 8-3 (8):
The Chargers bounced back from their loss at home to Denver to beat Arizona by 35.
Pittsburgh 7-3-1 (4):
The Steelers almost lost at Jacksonville. They did lose at Denver to end their six-game winning streak.
Dallas 6-5 (10):
The Cowboys have a three-game winning streak and a share of the first place in the NFC East.
Indianapolis 6-5 (9):
The Colts take a five-game winning streak to Jacksonville. The Jaguars lost at Indianapolis by three.
Minnesota 6-4-1 (11):
The Vikings are coming off a victory over Green Bay and trying to stay close to Chicago in the NFC North.
Seattle 6-5 (13):
Pete Carroll may be doing the best coaching job of his career. The Seahawks beat Green Bay and Carolina in the last two games.
Baltimore 6-5 (17):
Rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson is 2-0 as a starter with victories over Cincinnati and Oakland.
Denver 5-6 (19):
Case Keenum has led the Broncos to back-to-back victories over the Chargers and Steelers.
Carolina 6-5 (12):
The Panthers have a threegame losing streak after getting beat at home by Seattle.
Cleveland 4-6-1 (23):
After defeating Atlanta and Cincinnati, the Browns are 2-1 under interim coach Gregg Williams.
Philadelphia 5-6 (24):
If the Eagles beat Washington and Dallas loses at New Orleans, there will be a three-way tie for first in the NFC East.
Washington 6-5 (14):
Colt McCoy was unable to beat Dallas in his first start in place of the injured Alex Smith.
Tennessee 5-6 (15):
The Titans blew a chance to get within one game of the first-place Texans. Now they’re three behind.
Green Bay 4-6-1 (16):
The Packers are going to miss the playoffs, and Mike McCarthy is probably going to be fired.
Miami 5-6 (18):
The Dolphins came close at Indianapolis before losing by three points. It was their third consecutive loss.
Atlanta 4-7 (21):
The Falcons followed a threegame winning streak with a three-game losing streak.
Cincinnati 5-6 (22):
The Bengals have lost four of five games. They’ve also lost Andy Dalton with a thumb injury.
Buffalo 4-7 (27):
Rookie Josh Allen returned to the lineup and ignited a victory over Jacksonville. He’ll try to make it two in a row at Miami.
Tampa Bay 4-7 (28):
Jameis Winston returned to the lineup and led the Bucs to a victory over San Francisco.
Detroit 4-7 (20):
The Lions had a chance to defeat Chicago at home and blew it on Thanksgiving. They play another home game against the Rams.
N.Y. Giants 3-8 (25):
After winning consecutive games over the 49ers and Bucs, the Giants were talking playoffs. Until they lost to the Eagles.
Jacksonville 3-8 (26):
Coach Doug Marrone fired offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and benched quarterback Blake Bortles.
N.Y. Jets 3-8 (29):
Coming off their off week didn’t keep the Jets from a 14-point home loss to New England.
San Francisco 2-9 (30):
The 49ers had feint hopes of respectability that dissolved after losing at home to the Giants and on the road to the Bucs.
Oakland 2-9 (31):
After breaking a five-game losing streak by defeating Arizona, the Raiders got back to their losing ways with a loss at Baltimore.
Arizona 2-9 (32):
The Cardinals were blown out on the road by the Chargers to solidify their position as the worst team in the league.
