Christmas on the Boulevard: The Christmas tradition returns
Start your Christmas celebrations with a favorite of the community, Christmas on the Boulevard, a part of Entersect at St. John the Divine.
The family-friendly, free event begins with a live Nativity, followed by a gala Christmas concert featuring St. John the Divine Chorale, Fort Bend Boys Choir, and ROCO musicians. Top off the night with a festive jazz reception. You are invited to attend all or a portion of the evening’s events.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, begin your evening at 4 p.m. with a live Nativity featuring sheep, goats and a camel. You will be led into the stable where you will meet the Holy Family and their new baby (Hint: it’s a boy!). Live Nativity guided tours will be offered from 4-5 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m.
At 5 p.m. the musical magic begins. The St. John the Divine Chorale, Fort Bend Boys Choir, and ROCO musicians offer a concert of seasonal favorites such as O Holy Night,
Deck the Halls, and the Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah.
While all families are encouraged to attend the concert, additional seating with a livestream of the concert is available on site with a children’s Christmas ornament craft and room to move around. A festive reception follows the concert with live jazz and refreshments.
