ROBERTA ANN BUBIEN

-

1947-2018

Bobbie, age 71, of Houston, Texas, gained her angel wings on November 21, 2018. Bobbie was born June 13, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois. Her late parents had always said, the 1950’s move to Springfield, Massachusetts was a blessing. Bobbie grew up in Agawam Mass and graduated from Agawam High School in 1965. It was there she met and later married her husband Stan in 1968. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Bobbie is survived by her husband Stan and their four children; Daniel, Kevin and his wife Susy, son Steven all of Houston and daughter Kerry and husband John D. Smith and two beloved grandchildren, John Kash Woodrow and Kate Elizabeth all of Stamps, Arkansas.

As Bobbie was a beautiful red head, she especially joyed that both her grandchildren had beautiful red hair. Kash began calling her “Baby” and it was felt that he did so based on hearing “Bobbie” from others and not being to pronounce it correctly, it became “Baby”. She so much enjoyed them calling her by that name.

Bobbie is also survived by her brother Michael Wilson of Agawam and his two sons; Mitch and Ryan and his wife Sheri and son Jared.

She is also survived by her beloved brother-in-law Wally and his wife Rita of Kansas City, Missouri and their children, Ted and Lori.

Having relocated several times over the years, Bobbie made many friends along the journey. She received great joy in meeting new people and continuing those relationships thru the years.

She loved her home and spent time enjoying her cherished dogs, Binky and Sammie. She enjoyed feeding and watching all the birds who visited her feeders. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bobbie’s name to Shriners Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc/donate
