Boys Shadrach Banks, North Shore

Notable: In North Shore’s 49-38 regional semifinal win over Katy, Banks had four catches for 192 yards and three TDs.

What coach Jon Kay said: “I couldn’t count how many Shadrach Banks plays we had today. It’s frustratin­g defensivel­y. I’ve been on that end of it where you’ve got a guy for him and their guy makes your guys miss. Shadrach did that.”

Kobe Brown, East Bernard: Brown’s 11 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns helped Eats Bernard past Blanco 27-7 in the Class 3A Division II Region IV semifinals.

Montavious Murphy, Concordia Lutheran: Murphy had double-doubles in two of his last four games – 21 points and 16 rebounds against Fort Bend Christian Academy, and 23 points and 13 rebounds against Dallas HSAA Blue. Chris Richmond, CyFair: Richmond’s four catches for 101 yards and a 68-yard touchdown made a difference in the Bobcats’ 41-38 regional semifinal win over Atascocita.

Girls Sandra Cannady, College Park

Notable: The senior scored a game-high 23 points in a 51-33 win over Baytown Sterling in the championsh­ip game. What coach Jason

Weese said: “Sandra is just a great kid. She’s a great team leader. We’ve made lots of progress in last three years. She’s bought into everything we’ve been teaching. She’s just a fun kid to coach.”

Dyani Robinson, Langham Creek: Robinson averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds in her last three games. Taylor Thomas, Ridge Point: Thomas came close to consecutiv­e triple-doubles in wins over Dawson and Barbers Hill. She had 21 points, eight rebounds and eight assists against Dawson, and nine points, nine rebounds and eight assists (plus six steals) against Barbers Hill. Bre’yon White, Shadow Creek: White scored 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting with 10 rebounds in a 63-55 win over Pearland.
