UH’s Dormady will transfer

University of Houston backup quarterbac­k Quinten Dormady announced he will transfer to Central Michigan.

Dormady will be eligible to play immediatel­y as a graduate transfer after preserving his redshirt season in a limited role in at UH. He transferre­d from Tennessee last January with the expectatio­n he would serve as the backup to starter D’Eriq King.

Dormady played in two games — below the maximum four to maintain a redshirt under a new NCAA rule — and began to explore transfer options late in the season.

“I would also like to thank the University of Houston for the past six months!” Dormady wrote on his personal Twitter account.

• An autopsy report states that ex-Clemson running back C.J. Fuller died of a blood clot that lodged in an artery in his lungs.

Pickens County Coroner

Kandy Kelley said the 22-year-old Fuller died from a “Pulmonary thromboemb­olism and deep vein thrombosis.”

Fuller died on Oct. 3. He played three seasons with the Tigers and was part of Clemson’s national championsh­ip team in 2016.

• Boston College has extended the contract of coach Steve Addazio through 2022.

Addazio led the Eagles to a 7-2 record and a No. 17 ranking before losses in their last three games. They are scheduled to play Boise State in the First Responder Bowl in Dallas on Dec. 26.
