Texas A&M falls at Mississipp­i

OXFORD, Miss. — Breein Tyree scored 22 points as Mississipp­i placed three players in double figures and erased a nine-point second-half deficit to defeat Texas A&M 75-71 on Wednesday night.

Terence Davis scored 19 points, including six consecutiv­e free throws in the final 30 seconds, as the Rebels (15-7, 5-4) snapped a four-game losing streak. Blake Hinson added 11 points, including a pair of free throws with 2:51 left to give Ole Miss the lead for the final time at 65-64.

Wendell Mitchell led Texas A&M (8-13, 1-8) with 23 points, while Brandon Mahan had 20 points, shooting 6-of-7 from the 3-point line.

SAM HOUSTON ST. 77 MCNEESE ST. 62

Cameron Delaney scored 16 points, and the Bearkats pushed their winning streak to 11 games with a defeat of the Cowboys in Huntsville. Sam Houston State (15-8, 10-0) hasn’t lost since Dec. 22 and holds a two-game lead on the rest of the field in the Southland Conference.

TCU 70, OKLAHOMA ST. 68

JD Miller made a short jumper in the final second, and the Horned Frogs beat the Cowboys after blowing a 13-point lead in the second half at Fort Worth. TCU improved to 16-6 overall and 4-5 in the Big 12.

Kevon Harris had a careerhigh 35 points, and the Lumberjack­s rallied from a 12-point, second-half deficit to beat the Huskies at Sharp Gym.

Stephen F. Austin (12-9, 5-4 Southland) closed the final 3½ minutes on a 13-2 run, sneaking past Houston Baptist (7-14, 3-7) in the final minute.

Jaylen Franklin scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half, Jalone Friday added 14 points, and the Wildcats (19-4, 8-2 Southland) defeated the Cardinals (11-12, 4-6) in Beaumont.
