Cubs (30-21) update: This is the Cubs’ first trip to Minute Maid Park since 2016. … Third baseman Kris Bryant exited Sunday’s 10-2 loss to the Reds after colliding with Jayson Heyward in the outfield. Bryant was evaluated for a concussion and cleared to fly with the team to Houston. His status will be updated before Monday’s opener. … The Cubs have the third-best team OPS in baseball, trailing the second-ranked Astros and top-ranked Twins. Chicago is the best-hitting team in the National League. … Four of the Cubs qualified hitters — Bryant, Willson Contreras, Anthony Rizzo and Javier Baez — have at least a .900 OPS.
