Dream of America
Concert will feature the Houston premiere of the popular and relevant piece “Ellis Island: The Dream of America.” Ellis Island celebrates the historic American immigrant experience by highlighting seven immigrants’ stories, dramatically interpreted by young actors from Houston’s Emery/Weiner School. International Risotto Festival

Veterans Day Celebration
The traditional Veterans Day ceremony will feature acknowledgments and a distinguished keynote speaker recognizing local heroes. At the 11th hour on the 11th day, there will be a moment of silence in memory of the 101st anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, which ended World War I. This year’s parade marshal and keynote speaker is Joe Walsh.

Thanksgiving on a Dime
