“Charlie’s Angels”

Yes, it has been remade again, but this time it’s directed and written by a woman, Elizabeth Banks. She also stars along with Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska, Sam Claflin and Patrick Stewart.

“Feast of the Seven Fishes”

A large Italian family gets together for the traditiona­l Christmas meal known as the Feast of the Seven Fishes in this comedy from director Robert Tinnell. Skyler Gisondo, Madison Iseman and Josh Helman star. Unrated. Playing at Studio Movie Grill, Pearland.

“Ford v Ferrari”

Matt Damon and Christian Bale are 1960s-era race car driver Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles respective­ly, both of whom yearn to take their Ford all the way to the 24 Hours of Le Mans to challenge Ferrari. Unrated. Playing at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

“The Good Liar”

Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen go toe to toe in this thriller about a con man who thinks he has met a sucker online — but she turns out to be more than he bargained for. It’s directed by Bill Condon (“Kinsey,” “Gods and Monsters,” “The Fifth Estate”) Rated R. Playing throughout Houston.

“The Irishman”

Martin Scorsese returns to the gangland territory he knows so well for a surprising­ly contemplat­ive take on the gangster movie. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are all at the top of their game, as is Scorsese. This is one of the year’s must-see films. Rated R. Adam Driver seems to be everywhere this fall with the upcoming “Marriage Story” and the latest “Star Wars” film coming in the next few weeks. Up first

though is this political thriller, based on a true story about a congressio­nal staffer who finds shocking informatio­n inside the CIA’s post-9/11 Detention and Interrogat­ion Program. Jon Hamm and Annette Bening co-star.

“Warrior Queen of Jhansi”

Devika Bhise, Jodhi May, Derek Jacobi and Rupert Everett star in this biopic about the woman who led an army against the British East India Company in 19th-century India.
