Heat stun Hawks with late 22-0 run and 2 triple-doubles

MIAMI — Duncan Robinson tied a franchise record with 10 3-pointers, Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler each had tripledoub­les, and Miami scored 22 unanswered points down the stretch to win in overtime Tuesday night.

Kendrick Nunn scored 36 points, one off the Heat rookie record. Adebayo finished with a career-high 30 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Butler had 20 points, a career-high 18 rebounds and 10 assists.

And Robinson scored 34 points, on a night when the Heat moved to 11-0 at home.

The Heat were down by six with 59 seconds left in regulation, the moment when Trae Young took a celebrator­y walk back to the Atlanta bench for a timeout — with Butler hearing him shout, “It’s over.”

Miami scored the next 22 points — the last six of regulation on 3s by Robinson and Butler, and then the first 16 of overtime — to improve to 18-6 overall and 11-0 at home.

It was the NBA’s widest margin of victory in an overtime game since Oct. 31, 2009, when Philadelph­ia beat New York 141-127.

76ERS 97, NUGGETS 92

Joel Embiid scored 22 points, including two key free throws with 15.3 seconds left, and Tobias Harris added 20 to keep Philadelph­ia unbeaten at home.

Matisse Thybulle added 13 points for the Sixers, who are 13-0 in Philadelph­ia. They have won three straight and seven of eight.

Denver nearly came back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit when Nikola Jokic’s runner made it 95-92 with 18.9 seconds left, but Embiid then sank both free throws after being fouled for a five-point lead, then Barton missed a 3 from the top of the key.

HORNETS 114, WIZARDS 107

Devonte Graham scored 29 points and Miles Bridges hit a big 3-pointer with 7.7 seconds left as Charlotte prevailed in a game that featured 20 lead changes.

Terry Rozier scored 17 points, Bridges had 16, P.J. Washington added 15 and Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo both had doubledoub­les as Charlotte wrapped up a 2-3 homestand.

Davis Bertans scored a career-high 32 points and made eight 3-pointers for Washington. Rui Hachimura added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Wizards, who have lost six of seven.

TRAIL BLAZERS 115 KNICKS 87

Damian Lillard had 31 points, including eight 3-pointers, as Portland handed visiting New York its 10th straight loss.

Hassan Whiteside added 17 points and 15 rebounds as the Blazers ended a two-game skid. Portland led by as many as 32 points.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 16 points against his former team.
