FOOD ASSISTANCE

YMCA of Greater Houston: The YMCA has partnered with the Houston and Montgomery County food banks and others to provide food to families in need. Its schedule for the rest of this week is:

• Wednesday: 11 a.m. until supplies are gone at Alief Family YMCA (hosted at Leroy Crump Stadium) 12321 Alief Clodine; MD Anderson Family YMCA, 705 Cavalcade; and Wendel D. Ley Family YMCA, 15055 Wallisvill­e Road; 10 a.m.-noon at T.W. Davis Family YMCA (Hosted by Four Corners Community Center), 15700 Old Richmond Road, Sugar Land; and noon-2 p.m. at YMCA Internatio­nal Services, Westpark, Suite 600.

• Thursday: 9-11 a.m. at Aldine Greenspoin­t YMCA at Tom Wussow Park, 500 Greens Road; 11 a.m. until supplies are gone at East End YMCA (hosted by AAMA Sanchez Charter School), 6001 Gulf Freeway and Harriet and Joe Foster Family YMCA, 1234 W. 34th; 1-6 p.m. at Greater Grace Church, 10800 Scott; and noon-4 p.m. Tellepsen YMCA Food Pantry, 808 Pease.

• Friday: 11 a.m. until supplies are gone at Alief Family YMCA (hosted at Leroy Crump Stadium), 12321 Alief Clodine, MD Anderson Family

• Saturday: 11 a.m. until supplies are gone at Aldine-Greenspoin­t YMCA (hosted by North Houston Skate Park), 12351 Kuykendahl, and Connect YMCA, 6700 Bellaire; and 1 p.m. until supplies are gone at Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway.

Attack Poverty: Attack Poverty with Wingstop, the Houston Food Bank and Freedom Automotive will provide nonperisha­ble food, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and children’s resources 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday at Stafford High School, 1625 Staffordsh­ire Road, Stafford.

HEALTH

Bey Health: Tina Knowles Lawson has launched the #IDIDMYPART campaign in partnershi­p with daughter Beyonce’s BeyGOOD nonprofit to urge racial and ethnic minorities to get tested for COVID-19 to help curb the spread of the disease.

The United Memorial Medical Center will administer 500 coronaviru­s tests 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at Cullen Middle School, 6900 Scott, and another 500 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Forest Brook Middle School, 7525 Tidwell. Participan­ts will not need to leave their vehicles. In addition to the testing, the #IDIDMYPART campaign will distribute face masks, gloves, vitamins and household supplies and BeyGOOD will distribute free H-E-B gift cards and vouchers for a hot meal from Frenchy’s Chicken and Burns Original Bar-B-Q.
