Data Gumbo strikes construction partnership
Data Gumbo, a Houston company that uses blockchain technology to automate business transactions, announced a partnership with PrairieDog Venture Partners, the technology and development arm of a project co-led by the Construction Industry Institute and the Construction Users Roundtable for the creation and advancement a new business model for construction.
The partnership is designed to solve longstanding industry challenges around transactional and informational friction across capital projects, turnarounds and maintenance for the industrial, commercial and infrastructure building sectors.
Joint-use cases are underway to deploy blockchain-based smart contracts to automate and accelerate payments and streamline operations.
$2M order placed with Deep Down
Houston-based Deep Down Inc., a specialist in subsea oil and gas production control equipment and services, announced that it has received material orders from two customers totaling approximately $2 million.
The work includes providing subsea controls equipment consisting of jumpers, flying leads and an electrical/ hydraulic distribution manifold. All of the equipment is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2020.
Radix Engineering lands Brazil deal
Radix Engineering and Software announced that ISA CTEEP, one of the main private electric power transmission concessionaires in Brazil, will rely on an artificial intelligence toolset created by Radix to improve its services.
The objective is to provide a comprehensive and more efficient control room management. Final energy consumers will also benefit from a more stable supply system.
The AI tool was developed to address three areas. The first is related to voltage control by monitoring the electrical system.
