Floor & Decor inks big lease for Bay Area store
Cottondale Wood Products leased a 75,000-squarefoot manufacturing/distribution warehouse space at 359 Old Underwood Road in La Porte from Hines. The Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based company is expanding to the Houston area in the summer. It produces specialty wood pallets used in the petrochemical industry. William Carpenter, Greg Barra and David Boyd of Boyd Commercial represented the tenant.
SkinCeuticals SkinLab has opened in partnership with West Ave Plastic Surgery in the Upper Kirby/River Oaks area. The new location at 2800 Kirby Drive is led by plastic surgeon Dr. Forrest Roth. Founded in Dallas in 1997, SkinCeuticals recently launched SkinLab to provide three signature treatments: SkinSmooth, SkinBright and SkinFirm. Houston-based interior designer Leslie Strauss designed the space using Italian marble, neutral accents and floor to ceiling windows.
Floor & Decor signed a 91,110-square-foot lease at the Clear Lake Center, at 20740 Gulf Freeway, in Webster for a store slated to open by the end of the year. The newly remodeled property returns to 99 percent occupancy after Burlington’s lease ended a few months ago. Doug Freedman of United Equities represented the landlord, Clear Lake Center LP. Joan Collum of Collum Commercial represented the tenant. Burlington relocated to nearby 1449 W. Bay Area Blvd.
NewQuest Properties filled one of the last available spots at its 2 million-square-foot Brazos Town Center on U.S. 59 at FM 762 in Rosenberg. Frost Bank, represented by Scott Gardner of Streetwise Retail Advisors, leased 4,147 square feet for a location to open in late 2020. America’s Best, represented by Lilly Golden of Evergreen Commercial Realty, leased 2,988 square feet for a store to open in late summer. Bob Conwell and Austen Baldridge represented NewQuest Properties in-house. The development is 98 percent leased.
O’Reilly Auto Parts leased 36,823 square feet at Mercado 6
Marketplace, 7355 Highway 6 South. Taki Dallis and Joaquin Orozco of Resolut RE represented the landlord. Ford Jones of Independence Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.
Castle Biosciences leased 21,760 square feet at 505 South Friendswood Drive to accommodate growth at its Friendswood office, according to the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership. The company plans to employ 60 people by the end of the year, up from 40.
Meyao LLC purchased a 5,030-square-foot industrial property at 10801 Brooklet Drive. Chris Caudill of NAI Partners represented the sellers, Lynn and Janice Pack.
Urban Genesis purchased a 17,400-square-foot industrial building at 1702 Nance St. Chris Caudill and Jake Wilkinson of NAI Partners represented the seller, 125 West Crosstimbers Ltd. Clark Dalton with Dosch Marshall represented the buyer.
JustMac leased a 1,100-squarefoot space in the Harper’s Preserve community at the southeast corner of Highway 242 and Harpers Trace in Conroe. Travis Waltmon of Edge Realty Partners represented the tenant. Lane Pleason of Read King represented the landlord.
The Nutrition Fix leased 1,573 square feet at League City Plaza near Interstate 45 and FM 518 in League City. Carrie Murray of Weingarten Realty represented the landlord. Brad Kilbride with Lee & Associates represented the tenant.
Liberty Tax leased 1,289 square feet in the Easton Commons Shopping Center, at 8542 Highway 6 North. Wulfe & Co. handled the transaction.
Toomey-Guseman Family purchased a 3,675-square-foot parcel at 1509 Hutchins St. as additional parking for the upcoming J&M BBQ and Beer Garden east of downtown. Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial represented the buyer. Lisa Rimkus of Davis Commercial reprsented the seller, the Parisi Family.
