The hospitality giant Landry’s Inc. has launched Landry’s Kitchen, a home delivery service that will ship to home cooks the same steaks and seafood it uses at some of its premier restaurants, including Mastro’s, The Palm Restaurant, Del Frisco’s, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Oceanaire Seafood Room and Saltgrass Steak House.

The service, debuting during the coronavirus pandemic as fewer Americans are dining out, is available through LandrysKitchen.com, and products can be shipped nationwide to 48 states.

“With the need for convenient, at-home solutions at an all-time high, we are thrilled to deliver best-in-class seafood and steak offerings,” said Kathy Ruiz, senior vice president of culinary for Landry’s Inc.

The steaks and seafood are packaged with appropriate seasonings and recipes; the website offers additional recipes as well as video tutorials from Landry’s chefs.

Fish and seafood options include portioned Caribbean skin-on red snapper, New Zealand skin-on king Salmon, Chilean sea bass, Atlantic salmon, king crab, Gulf shrimp, lobster tails, mussels, crawfish tail meat and skin-on rainbow trout. Prices begin at $16 for two 7-ounce fish fillets. There are also seafood packages (beginning at $50), including seafood towers, lobster tails, shrimp boil and grill kits for fish and crab.

Steaks — all Certified Angus Beef — include top sirloin, bone-in rib-eye, T-bone steaks, porterhouse cut, New York strip and filet mignon; steak prices start at $50.

The proteins are shipped from a Landry’s commissary in La Porte.

Ruiz said that in addition to creating a way to connect with longtime customers who enjoy the restaurants in the vast Landry’s portfolio, the project keeps Landry’s employees working.

“We love our customers. We don’t want to lose them. However we can keep them coming to us is what we want to do,” Ruiz said. “We want to stay relevant. When the world gets righted again, they’ll come back to us.”

Landry’s Kitchen will also continue to expand offerings. The company also is working on launching a line of desserts.
