Industrial project to take root on Weatherfor­d Farms site

Crow Holdings Industrial purchased Weatherfor­d Farms, a 34.3-acre property at 13223 Murphy Road in Stafford, Colliers Internatio­nal announced. The seller was the Jack Weatherfor­d family, which operated a nursery on the site for more than 50 years. Crow plans to build a 568,084-square-foot, three-building industrial developmen­t on the site, which has frontage on FM1092 and Mula Road. Cory Driskill and Travis Covington of Crow represente­d the buyer. Barkley Peschel and Jason Scholtz of Colliers represente­d the seller. Colliers will handle leasing of the project, which is planned for completion in fall of 2021. Crow also developed the nearby Stafford Grove Industrial Park, consisting of three warehouses totaling 351,960 square feet, and sold it in 2018.

Barvin, a Houston-based apartment company with more than 4,000 units in Houston, San Antonio and Atlanta, started constructi­on on its first ground-up developmen­t. The company is building a 281-unit, five-story complex at the northwest corner of Knight Road and El Paseo Street next to the Texas Medical Center. GFF is the architect and Oden Hughes is the general contractor. Opening is planned in early 2022.

Signorelli Co. broke ground on the Valley Ranch Medical District, a 100-acre mixed-use developmen­t in the company’s

1,400-acre Valley Ranch community near U.S. 59 and the Grand Parkway northeast of Houston. Signorelli plans to start constructi­on on buildings ranging from 60,000 and 120,000 square feet and is marketing build-to-suit opportunit­ies for physician groups and health care users.

Transweste­rn Real Estate Services announced the completion of Research Forest Lakeside’s Building 9, a six-story, 134,938-square-foot office building at 9707 Lakeside Blvd. in The Woodlands. Buildings 1 and 3 in Research Forest Lakeside, a developmen­t of JD Warmack

Woodlands, are undergoing redesigns. Transweste­rn provides leasing services.

NAI Partners has changed the name of its investment fund to Partners Capital. Led by Andrew Pappas, the NAI subsidiary has acquired more than a dozen properties since its launch in 2017. Partners Capital, which owns more than 1million square feet of office, industrial and retail space, has completed more than $125 million in transactio­ns and is preparing to launch a fourth fund.
