Executive Baskets opens holiday shop in Sugar Land

Velvet Taco, a Dallasbase­d chain known for its globally inspired tacos, leased 3,380 square feet at 2525 Rice Blvd. in the Village as part of its expansion in the Houston market. Chris Reyes and Tyler Trevino of Shop Cos. represente­d the tenant. Chris Powell represente­d the landlord, Pipeline Realty. Velvet Taco, which will occupy a portion of the building formerly occupied by BuffaloWil­d Wings, will have five area locations including upcoming shops in the Heights and Galleria areas, according to Shop Cos.

Tarka Indian Kitchen leased 2,500 square feet at Citywest Shopping Center, 10550Westh­eimer. Joaquin Orozco and Benny Nguyen of Resolut RE represente­d the tenant. Kim Bernick of Shop Cos. represente­d the landlord.

Torchy’s Tacos leased 3,951 square feet inWatervie­w Town Center at the Grand Parkway and Grand Mission Boulevard in Richmond. JamieWeave­r of Arena Realty represente­d the tenant. Matt McKinnerne­y and Lane Pleason represente­d the landlord, Read King Commercial Real Estate.

Executive Baskets, a Houston-based gift and holiday basket shop led by Pranav Patel, opened a 4,400-square-foot pop-up store in Sugar Land Town Square through New Year’s. The Great Holiday Shop on CityWalk adjacent to Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. sells corporate gifts, gift baskets and holiday home décor. The company will also create a decorative holiday display at a kiosk in the plaza. Sugar Land Town Square is located at Texas 6 and U.S. 59 in Sugar Land.

Sylvan Learning Center leased 1,000 square feet in the First Colony Commons Shopping Center, at 15425 Southwest Freeway and Williams Trace Blvd, in Sugar Land. Hugh Herman of Cushman & Wakefield represente­d the tenant. Kristen Barker and Katherine Wildman of Wulfe & Co. represente­d the landlord.

Mike Bros. has leased 900 square feet at Crescent Park Shopping Center, 13548 Beechnut. Jim Thompson and Benny Nguyen of Resolut RE represente­d the landlord.

Riverstone Capital Group purchased the 3,354-square-foot building leased to Chick-fil-A at 2330 Texas 6 in Sugar Land. JLL marketed the property for the seller, North American Developmen­t Group.

JerseyMike’s Subs is now open at 30129 Rock Creek Drive in Kingwood for takeout, delivery and to-go orders. Franchise owner Scott Agan and operating partner Christian Evans operate the location.

WKitchen leased 1,800 square feet in the Lakeside Village Shopping Center at 10928Westh­eimer. Kathy King of Edge Realty Partners represente­d the landlord.
