Baylor’s season start moved again
No. 2 Baylor has pushed back the start of its men’s basketball season even further with the cancellation of Sunday’s game at Seton Hall.
Baylor said Tuesday it was a mutual agreement between the schools to cancel the Big 12/Big East Battle matchup. Bears coach Scott Drew has revealed his positive test for COVID-19. Baylor is next scheduled against Illinois in Indianapolis on Dec. 2. In other news:
• Minnesota is calling off its scheduled football game Saturday at Wisconsin due to positive COVID-19 cases within its program, a move that likely knocks the 16thranked Badgers out of consideration for the Big Ten championship game.
• Utah’s game with Arizona State, scheduled for Sunday, was canceled because the Sun Devils still don’t have enough scholarship players after having numerous positive virus cases, including coach Herm Edwards. Utah was rescheduled to play Washington on Saturday.
• The UAB-Southern Mississippi football game scheduled for Friday has been canceled because of COVID-19 issues within the Golden Eagles’ program.
